Drug Discovery
InSight's integrated drug discovery platform is designed to identify, enhance, and optimize potential drugs. The platform consists of discovery biology, novel and proprietary cell-free and cell-based, high-throughput assay development, and diverse small-molecule collection, aided by computational modeling. InSight chooses novel, high-value added molecular targets that were discovered by its own molecular biology team.
Stage one is the discovery of molecular targets whose modulation may yield a potential therapeutic use. After undergoing target validation, these molecules are subjected to assay development and high-throughput screening.
InSight has proven expertise in innovative assay development and validation. Some of its HTS assays are patented. Specificity assays and counter screens are performed to enable efficacy scoring of hits.The hit molecules are studied in house for their in vitro ADMET (absorption, distribution, metabolism, excretion and toxicity) and
drugability potential.
Lead optimization is achieved by structure-activity relationships (SAR)studies for efficacy and ADMET profile, accompanied by computational molecular modeling. InSight's in-house animal unit performes thorough studies on the resulting lead molecules in various relevant animal models.
